Week 2 was another loss for the Panthers, but we sure saw a lot of offense out of them as Bryce Young tried to lead them back with an amazing 55 pass attempts. It’s not a good way to win games, but it sure helps manufacture some fantasy points, especially in PPR leagues. One of the players who benefitted from all those attempts was tight end Ja’Tavion Sanders.
Ja’Tavion Sanders start or sit: Week 3 fantasy football advice
We break down the fantasy football outlook of Ja’Tavion Sanders ahead of Week 3
Below, we’ll go over Ja’Tavion Sanders’ outlook in fantasy football for Week 3.
Fantasy Football analysis: Panthers, TE, Ja’Tavion Sanders
In Week 2 Sanders saw nine targets, which was one off from the leader, Tetairoa McMillan. Sanders ended up catching seven of those for 54 yards. That was enough for him to finish as TE6 in PPR leagues. The bar is pretty low for a Top 10 tight end fantasy finish, so finding any tight end who can command a second place in targets for their team is a good thing. Unfortunately, he only saw three targets in Week 1.
So far, the Falcons have completely shut down opposing tight ends, as they’ve allowed 1 reception in six targets for 12 yards. Cade Otton and TJ Hockenson both were shut down in those two games. But, some good news is that Sanders has now been targeted four times in the red zone, which leads all tight ends.
Start or sit in Week 3 PPR leagues?
Sit. I like Sanders and feel like he has upside to be a good fantasy tight end, but I don’t love the matchup and I don’t expect Young to throw the ball 55 times again.
Start or sit in Week 3 standard leagues?
Sit.
