Week 8 of the NFL season is staring us right in the eyes! Don’t back down. Fight for your fake teams. Get on that waiver wire to replace Puka Nacua and Jaxon Smith-Njigba with Kayshon Boutte and Tez Johnson, because it’s going to be a tough week with six teams on bye.
Top 100 fantasy football PPR WRs for Week 8
Chet Gresham takes us through the top 100 PPR WRs for Week 8

Week 8 byes
Cardinals, Jaguars, Lions, Rams, Raiders, Seahawks
Wide receivers on bye
Marvin Harrison Jr., Brian Thomas Jr., Travis Hunter, Amon-Ra St, Brown, Jameson Williams, Puka Nacua, Davante Adams, Jakobi Meyers, Tre Tucker, Jaxon Smith-Njigba, Cooper Kupp
WR injuries
Mike Evans, Buccaneers
Evans was able to return from his hamstring injury in Week 7, but then unfortunately suffered a broken collarbone along with a concussion, which will effectively end his fantasy football season. Emeka Egbuka will take over the No. 1 role while Chris Godwin continues to recover. Tez Johnson and Sterling Shepard should appear to be next in line for possible fantasy production.
Puka Nacua, Rams
Nacua has had multiple in-game injuries, but has been able to play through them and continue his fantasy WR1 play. Unfortunately in Week 6 he suffered an ankle injury that kept him out of Week 7. He’ll get the bye week to get healthy and will likely be able to return in Week 9.
Garrett Wilson, Jets
Wilson hyperextended his knee in Week 6 and was considered doubtful and didn’t play in Week 7. Initial reports had him out two weeks, but we’ll see if he can get any practices in this week and have a chance to play with a likely new starter in Tyrod Taylor.
Ricky Pearsall, 49ers
Pearsall hurt his knee in Week 4 against the Jaguars, but it seemed like he wasn’t going to miss much time. Unfortunately he’s now missed three games. We’ll see if he can get back on the practice field this week.
Terry McLaurin, Commanders
McLaurin suffered a quad injury in Week 3 against the Raiders, but wasn’t put on I.R. He was able to practice for Week 7, but not much. Keep your eye on the practice reports this week, as he has a better chance to return as the Commanders face the Chiefs on Monday Night Football.
Calvin Ridley, Titans
Ridley suffered a hamstring injury in Week 6 and was unable to play in Week 7. Chimere Dike stepped up in his absence last week, but no receiver looks ready to take on a big target load for this bad Titans team right now.
