The 3-4 Atlanta Falcons head to Foxboro to take on the 6-2 Patriots as 5.5-point underdogs on Sunday. They are coming off a humiliating defeat at home against the Dolphins, but will get their quarterback Michael Penix Jr. and WR1 Drake London back after they both missed one game due to injury.
Darnell Mooney start or sit: Week 9 fantasy football advice
We break down the fantasy football outlook of Darnell Mooney ahead of Week 9

Their offense runs through London and Bijan Robinson, but WR Darnell Mooney was coming off his best season of his career with hopes for more this year. Unfortunately injuries have slowed him down and when he is out there, he hasn’t been able to do much.
Below, we’ll go over Darnell Mooney’s outlook in fantasy football for Week 9.
Fantasy Football analysis: Falcons, WR, Darnell Mooney
Mooney’s injuries this year have slowed him down, but he’s off the injury report and has no excuses this week. Last week we can give Kirk Cousins much of the blame, but this week he has his quarterback and is as healthy as we can expect him to be.
The thing with Mooney is that we know he can put up good numbers quickly. The Patriots have also been below average at stopping deep passes this year. New England’s strength is stopping the run and they’ll have their hands full with Bijan Robinson, while Christian Gonzalez should at least spend extra time working on Drake London. The Patriots are also favored to get a lead, possibly forcing Penix Jr. to throw more than he usually would. I don’t love it, but I’m giving Mooney one more shot here to prove he can be startable in fantasy.
