The Chicago Bears pulled out a win in a crazy, high-scoring affair against the Bengals last week to go 5-3 and stay right in the thick of the NFC North race. This week they’ll take on a 2-7 Giants team as 4.5-point favorites at home.
Kyle Monangai start or sit: Week 10 fantasy football advice
We break down the fantasy football outlook of Kyle Monangai ahead of Week 10

Last week we saw rookie Kyle Monangai break out for almost 200 all-purpose yards with D’Andre Swift out due to a groin injury. So, you ask, why would we even contemplate sitting a player who just put up a huge day of offense like that? Well, you might not, but there is reason for concern with Swift returning this week.
The good news is that the Giants are bad against the run, while the bad news is that Swift has been the lead back all season and there is reason to believe he would return to that role in Week 10.
Below, we’ll go over Kyle Monangai’s outlook in fantasy football for Week 10.
Fantasy Football analysis: Bears, RB, Kyle Monangai
First off, the Bengals didn’t have Trey Hendrickson last week and even when they do have him, they can’t stop anyone. If Swift had been healthy, he likely would have put up big numbers as well. The good news is that we’ve seen head coach Ben Johnson manage two strong running backs with the Lions, giving both of them enough work for fantasy relevancy. And, we were already starting to see more Monangai heading into last week’s game.
I expect a fairly even split, with more Swift if the Bears get behind in the pass-catching role. But a lead early would help the rookie. And the Giants have allowed the second-most fantasy points and most yards per carry to running backs this season. This matchup should allow both to be useful fantasy plays.
