Week 10 is gone and Week 11 is on. We can’t change the past, but we can learn from it. So, who should we have started at tight end last week? Colby Parkinson and Jackson Hawes were TE5 and TE7 in standard. Should we have started them? Uh, I guess, but this isn’t magic. We aren’t going to be able to actually read the tea leaves and predict someone who hasn’t been fantasy relevant all season catches a touchdown pass. We still need a tight end to see targets, even if they aren’t scoring a lot of touchdowns for our non-PPR leagues. Don’t go chasing touchdowns or waterfalls, well, waterfalls are stationary and as long as you have a good map, go ahead and chase those as much as you’d like.

Colston Loveland, Bears vs. Vikings

Even with Cole Kmet back last week, Loveland still caught four passes for 55 yards against the Giants. Unfortunately he only saw four targets. The good news is that he continues to show he deserves more targets and he’s getting more snaps than he was earlier in the season. The Vikings have been weak against tight ends, giving up five touchdowns to the position in the last five games.

TE injuries

Oronde Gadsden, Chargers

Gadsden had an MRI and it appears he hasn’t suffered a significant injury and is considered “day-to-day” with a quad bruise. That doesn’t make him a lock for this week against the Jaguars, but he should have a chance to play. Keenan Allen would probably see a decent bump in work, as his workload has decreased since Gadsden took off.

Dalton Kincaid, Bills

Kincaid was forced from last week’s game with a hamstring injury and is considered week-to-week for a return. That most-likely means he is out this week and might have trouble the following week for a Thursday night matchup. Plan on being without him a couple weeks at this point. Keon Coleman and Khalil Shakir would likely see an uptick in work, but no single player is set for a huge workload with Kincaid likely out.
