Fantasy Football Deep Sleepers, Week 7: Look To The Chargers

Are injuries and bye weeks sacking your lineup of the stars? Here are a few guys possibly available on your waiver wire that could be difference makers come Sunday

Patrick Crayton and Craig "Buster" Davis (vs. NE) - Crayton led the team in receptions and yards against the Rams while Davis led the team in targets and was the only Charger receiver to score. The two were the primary beneficiaries of the absences of WR's Malcom Floyd and Legedu Naanee and TE Antonio Gates. With news that all three players are question marks for Week 7, Crayton and Davis could once again be very busy as part of a Charger offense that averages 37 pass attempts per contest. Check back during the week to find out how the Chargers starting skill position players are progressing.

Jordy Nelson (vs. MIN) - Early in the season it appeared that Nelson fumbled away his chance to start as the Packers 3rd wideout. But he was back in the fold this week as the Packers started life after TE Jermichael Finley. Nelson was targeted 7 times, hauling in 4 for 64 yards. With Green Bay struggling to run the ball effectively they will lean on the strong arm of QB Aaron Rodgers often doing so from 3 receiver sets. While Nelson won't see as many snaps as more typical options, he plays on a high-powered, pass-first offense. In week 7 the Packers host bitter division rival Minnesota. In what could be a high-scoring affair, Nelson could be in line for WR3 numbers.

Tony Moeaki (vs. JAX) - Moeaki was a bit quiet in Week 6 registering just 2 catches on 3 targets as Chiefs QB Matt Cassel and WR Dwayne Bowe looked like they were playing catch against the Houston secondary. But Moeaki remains his QB's most reliable target, catching 70% of balls thrown his way. In Week 7 the Chiefs will host a sieve-like Jaguars secondary. With the Jags rolling safety help towards Bowe and linebackers focusing on stopping the two-headed rushing attack of Thomas Jones and Jamaal Charles, leaving Moeaki with room to roam in the middle. If you are a Chris Cooley or Antonio Gates owner, Moeaki is a fine one week replacement.
