Ranking The Top Fantasy Football Players Of Week 8: Arian Foster Against The Colts
Who to start in Week 8 of fantasy football? Check out our consensus player rankings at the six main positions.
In a sign of the times, Tennessee running back Chris Johnson, who had a spectacular year in 2009, is only ranked as the number 10 running back this week. Johnson had been holding tight in the top three, even through some of the lean weeks recently, but the experts have finally decided to temporarily downgrade him. Looks like the gurus believe in a repeat of Arian Foster's explosion earlier this year against the Colts (231 yards and three touchdowns), he grabs the number one running back spot. Fresh off his three touchdown performance, Darren McFadden is ensconced at number four.
Over at receiver, Miles Austin feels the pain of no Tony Romo, and only garners a number nine ranking this week. Santana Moss enters the charts this week at number five, but perennial favorite Reggie Wayne gets the top nod this week, he goes against a porous Houston secondary.
It's hard to believe the Dallas Cowboys D/ST is the second ranked unit this week, after getting thrashed by Eli Manning and the Giants. Maybe this says more about the Jacksonville offense than anything.
Finally, hurt or not, Antonio Gates is the man at tight end. It’s just like having another top-notch wide receiver on your fantasy roster each week.
