The Chargers have been shorthanded at receiver for the past few weeks, which is a problem for a team that makes its living on throwing the ball. It doesn’t appear to be much better for this Sunday’s game against Tennessee, as starters Malcom Floyd and Legedu Naanee missed practice again on Thursday, as well as tight end Antoinio Gates and reserve receiver Buster Davis.
Fantasy Football Week 8 News: Patrick Crayton The Only Chargers Receiver To Practice On Thursday
↵Floyd and Naanee aren’t expected to play, while Gates missed practice most of last week and played and scored a touchdown against the Patriots. Davis played against New England and caught six passes for 53 yards, which aren’t spectacular numbers given he was taking over a starting role.
↵Davis is still expected to go but it looks like he’ll be hampered with an injury. While this could conceivable benefit owners of Patrick Crayton, the only Chargers receiver to practice on Thursday, if he is the only healthy target it means Titans corners will likely double-team him. Unless absolutely desperate, it’s best to avoid Chargers receivers this weekend.
