Mike Williams Powering Tampa Bay’s Offense

Rookie wide receiver Mike Williams put the Buccaneers offense on his back as they went into the half up 24-14 on the Arizona Cardinals. Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarter back Josh Freeman had only 162 yards at the half, with 83 of those yards to the hands of Williams. Williams, at half, had already moved into the top 6 for receiving yards this week. In regular Yahoo! Fantasy Football leagues Williams has given his fantasy owners 14.3 points through the first half.

Williams leads all rookies in receiving yards after being drafted in the fourth round, 101 overall, by the Buccaneers. Coming into today's game Williams had 28 receptions for 365 yards and 3 touchdowns. Today's display gives him a prime opportunity to have his first career 100 yard receiving day (the closest he has been was a 7 catch, 99 yard and 1 TD game versus the Cincinnati Bengals).
