A day after word came out that the Philadelphia Eagles were exploring a possible trade for Bills running back Marshawn Lynch, the 2007 first-round pick was instead shipped to the Seattle Seahawks for draft picks.

↵Lynch shouldn’t pose a threat to Seahawks starting running back, Justin Forsett, who was teammates with Lynch at Cal. But his arrival in Seattle did necessitate the release of Julius Jones, who was just barely survived cuts in the preseason after once being considered the future feature back of the franchise.
↵Jones could now become a target for the several teams expressing interest in Lynch, including the Eagles, Redskins and possibly the Packers. For now, that’s only speculation, but it couldn’t hurt to scoop up Jones if you have a spot open on your bench.
