NFL Fantasy Football Waiver Wire, Week 9: Stafford Returns
Looking for some fantasy football roster help now that we’ve hit the halfway mark? Check and see if these names are available in your league.

The Cadillac has been parked in Tampa Bay, injured QBs making a return are hot, and the Patriots have some punch in their offense, Randy Moss or no. It's time for Week 9 waiver wire goodness.
LeGarrette Blount (RB Tampa Bay) - It looks to be official now, Blount is the man in the Tampa Bay running game. Cadiallac Williams has been supplanted by the rookie running back who turned in a 122-yard, two touchdown performance on Sunday. Blount has been mentioned in waiver wire pickup lists previously, but amazingly he's still available in some leagues. If he is available in yours, go get him.
Matthew Stafford (QB Detroit) - Remember Stafford, high draft pick of the Detorit Lions from a few years ago? Stafford has battled injuries through his short career but in Week 8 he returned from injury and hooked up with Calvin Johnson on three touchdowns to take down the Redskins. He finished with only 212 yards, but had a total of four touchdowns. If he can continue to make magic with C.J., he's a viable alternative at QB for bye weeks and injuries.
David Garrard (QB Jacksonville) - Another QB coming off injury has a huge day. Garrard torched the Cowboys for 260 yards and four touchdowns. But, we advise caution on this one. Garrard does have days when he's very good, but he's maddeningly inconsistent. He's also on a bye this week, so you can't use him right away.
Brandon Tate (WR New England) - With the Randy Moss situation dominating the airwaves, don't forget about the guy who some thought could be his replacement in New England. Tate has had a slow start to the season, and he only caught three passes on Sunday, but one was a bomb from Tom Brady that went for a score. Maybe this will help the youngster get going, if he forms a connection with Tom Brady, he could put up valuable fantasy points.
BenJarvus Green-Ellis (RB New England) - The guy with the unusual name has been on our list of pickups for weeks, but like Blount, you can still find him available in some leagues. The carries split with media-darling Danny Woodhead has probably made some people hesitant to pick him up, but that probably won't be the case after Sunday's 112-yard, two touchdown game.
