NFL Fantasy Football Waiver Wire, Week 13: Last Hurrah For Brian Westbrook

49ers RBs Brian Westbrook and Anthony Dixon: Fantasy stud Frank Gore was lost for the season on Monday night to a fractured hip. With Gore out of the lineup, Westbrook re-discovered the fantasy prominence he'd lost long ago, surpassing 100 rushing yards for the first time since December 7, 2008, and adding a touchdown. Westbrook is now atop San Francisco's running back pecking order, but Dixon is worth a flier, as well, as he's likely to see a considerable amount of goal line work. He also scored a touchdown on Monday night.

Vikings RB Toby Gerhart: Adrian Peterson is dinged up, but for the moment, it's looking like he'll be in the lineup for Minnesota's Week 13 matchup with Buffalo. Gerhart - who, by the way, injured his shoulder against Washington and isn't 100%, either - is still worth an add this week. The Bills still, by a considerable margin, have the NFL's worst run defense, and they particularly struggle with big, physical backs. There's a shot Peterson doesn't get his usual rushing workload, and if that's the case, Gerhart could see significant carries for a second straight week.

Lions RB Maurice Morris: Jahvid Best was active on Thanksgiving, but didn't see a single touch. Morris was not Detroit's feature back in his stead; rather, he split touches with Aaron Brown. After his 75-yard, two-touchdown performance, however, the veteran Morris should be in line for a bigger role in Detroit's offense, particularly with Best's toe injuries still a significant issue.

Titans QB Kerry Collins: Now, clearly, if Rusty Smith couldn't do anything against the Houston Texans, there's no concern about Collins losing his job. It's looking good for Collins to return to the starting lineup in Week 13, and he may just have Kenny Britt back in action, as well. Tennessee's offense is getting healthier, and clearly, when they've got everyone on board, there's enough weaponry here to do some serious damage. Collins could quickly become a starter-worthy add.

Seahawks WR Ben Obomanu: Injuries have allowed Obomanu to slide into Seattle's in-flux receiving rotation, and he's been productive in that role. In Seattle's last three games, Obomanu has hauled in 14 passes for 306 yards and two touchdowns. Even as Seattle gets healthier for their playoff push, Obomanu has earned more playing time, and Seattle has advantageous passing game matchups in each of their next two games (Carolina, San Francisco).

Eagles WR Jason Avant: Michael Vick is making a lot of current Eagles skill players worthy of fantasy adds, but he has a particularly strong affinity for Avant, who had eight catches for 83 yards in Chicago. Avant isn't a big-play receiver, but Vick trusts him and finds him in tight spots; expect a lot of catches, a moderate amount of yardage, and a rare touchdown. He's worth a flier in deeper leagues if you're thin at wideout.
