The Philadelphia Eagles will host the Houston Texans on Thursday Night Football and some fantasy football players are hoping for a big day from QB Michael Vick and Eagles receivers like DeSean Jackson. The good news is that the numbers say that very well could happen.
Michael Vick, Eagles Can Expect Big Fantasy Football Day Vs. Texans On Thursday Night Football
The Texans pass defense is the 31st ranked unit in the league (by yards) and no team has given up more passing touchdowns than these guys. It’s been a major problem all year and likely will continue for the rest of the season.
SB Nation’s Bleeding Green Nation held a Q&A with Battle Red Blog and asked the question: Is the Texans pass defense that bad?
No, it’s not as bad as it looks. It’s worse. The numbers don’t do the futility justice on their own, so one of our writers has been keeping track of the 2010 Houston defense from a historical perspective. The secondary is truly as bad as anything you’ll ever see; every DB has taken his turn in the barrel, and any one of them is capable of getting torched by the Eagles. I’d better move on to the next question before I start pounding Clorox and chasing it with Windex.
So if you own Michael Vick or DeSean Jackson, this is your courtesy reminder that, yes, they should definitely be in the lineup. David Halprin of SBNation.com has details the rest of the Eagles offensive players and he comes out with the same conclusion: Start ‘em all.
