Fantasy Football Advice, Week 16: Josh Freeman, BenJarvus Green-Ellis Worthy Of A Start
Three NFL players to start in your fantasy football lineup on Sunday.
If you're looking for consistency, Josh Freeman is your guy. He's thrown a touchdown pass in eleven straight games, putting up double digit fantasy points in each one. Facing the Seattle Seahawks and their poor pass defense should certainly help matters, as they give up 259 yards per game on average and rank No. 29 in the NFL.
On top of that, the Seahawks are travelling cross-country for this game.If you have a quarterback who faces a stout defense this week or were unfortunate enough to get hit by the injury bug, Freeman is certainly worthy of a start. He is also available in many leagues as a Waiver Wire pickup.
RB BenJarvus Green-Elis (New England Patriots)
Here's something you may not know, Green-Ellis has six touchdowns in his last five games. We look for him to add to that total on Sunday, facing a porous Bills' defensive front which ranks dead-last in the NFL against the run giving up 158.6 yards per game.
Green-Ellis rushed 16 times for 98 yards and one touchdown in the first matchup between the two; we expect more of that as the weather forecast is calling for snow in the game at Ralph Wilson Stadium. As a result, New England may look to their running game more this week. The Law Firm” is the Patriots’ workhorse and he also receives the majority of the carries when in the red zone. Start him against the worst defensive front in football.
The Eagles are looking to be the first team in NFL history to have four players with 10 offensive touchdowns in a season. DeSean Jackson needs two more, while Jeremy Maclin already has his 10. We project Jackson will have his chances on Sunday, with the Eagles getting plenty of offensive possessions at home against a Minnesota offense which really struggles to move the football.
Jackson had only three catches last week against the Giants, but won the game in walk-off, thrilling fashion. Expect a lot of balls thrown his way this week as a result against a banged-up Minnesota secondary.
We project Philadelphia to blow out Minnesota at home on Sunday, with both Jackson and Michael Vick scoring plenty of fantasy points in the process.
