Jay Cutler, starting quarterback for the Bears, has thrown three touchdowns in the third quarter. After tossing a ball that was picked off and returned by Jets cornerback Kyle Lowrie for a touchdown, Cutler has put the Bears back into the game with a 40-yard and a 26-yard strike to wide receiver Johnny Knox and a 25-yard touchdown pass to wide receiver/return man Devin Hester. Cutler has 21 passing attempts with 13 completions for 215 passing yards, three touchdown passes and one interception.
His opponent in the game is Mark Sanchez, who has thrown for 205 yards and a touchdown on 16 completions (22 passing attempts) for the Jets. Sanchez and wide receiver Santonio Holmes connected for a 23-yard touchdown with 8:36 left in the third quarter.
