Fantasy Football News, Week 16: Troy Smith Gets Pulled For Poor Game, Sam Bradford Puts Up Some Stats

The San Francisco 49ers have struggled against the St. Louis Rams defense enough to bench starting quarterback Troy Smith for former starting quarter, and number one overall pick, Alex Smith.

T. Smith had attempted 19 passes but only completed 7 of them for 153 yards and a touchdown before he was pulled by head coach Mike Singletary. That touchdown was a 60-yard pass to wide receiver Michael Crabtree, which means that Smith threw only six completions for 123 yards excluding the touchdown. Alex Smith has provided almost immediate offense, completing his first four passes and completing six of his nine passing attempts so far for 77 yards.

For the Rams, rookie starting quarterback Sam Bradford has thrown for 292 yards on 28 completions (37 attempts) and a touchdown (a three-yard pass to wide receiver Laurent Robinson). Teammate Steven Jackson, the starting running back, has 43-yards on 22 carries and a touchdown.
