Week five of the 2011 NFL season is coming to a close with Monday Night Football all that is left on the schedule. It has been a wild weekend of football with fantasy contest swinging back and forth thanks to some crazy statistical performances. If you had The Law Firm (BenJarvus Green-Ellis) or Alex Smith or Curtis Painter, you got a huge game that you might not have expected. Not that many people were starting the latter two, but if you did start them, way to go.

There will be plenty of coverage this week about Adrian Peterson scoring three touchdowns, or Frank Gore continuing his resurgence or Aaron Rodgers thrashing the Atlanta Falcons for 396 yards. Everybody knows about that. The true fantasy fan was more pleased by Victor Cruz leading the way with 161 yards and a circus catch touchdown. Or you were in fact smart enough to start a heating-up Alex Smith against the Bucs. Whatever the case, those are the matchups that can swing fantasy games each week.

Here are some of the top notable performances at each position, focusing in on guys that are a bit under the radar. Some of them are on fantasy teams, but they are not guys you are starting every week. Big performances can give you the reason you need to get them into your lineup:
