Fantasy Football Week 6 Quarterback Projections: The Big Three Dominate

Week 6 Bye Teams: Denver, Tennessee, Kansas City, Arizona, San Diego, Seattle

If you have one of the big three at quarterback, you’ve been doing fine at the position all year. Tom Brady, Drew Brees and Aaron Rodgers have been money this year, and there’s no reason for that not to continue in Week 6.

Our friends at numberFire.com gave us the following list of their Top 25 quarterback projections for Week 6 of fantasy football. They base their numbers on historical statistical data fed into magical computer algorithms that produce the projections.

Not surprisingly, the big three lead the list. Further down is where we get to the more interesting players. Ben Roethlisberger has been up and down this year, but last week was definitely an up. He torched the Tennessee defense and looks to be in line for another good game. The computer ranks him sixth. Cam Newton continues his ascent toward the top, clocking in at eight this week.

And how about some of the other rookies or new starters? Curtis Painter of the Colts comes in at sixteen among quarterbacks. Not bad based on two weeks of work, but a good two weeks it has been fantasy-wise. Blaine Gabbert is eighteenth and Andy Dalton is twentieth.

* Fantasy Points Projections are based on the Yahoo! and ESPN default scoring settings. Quarterbacks are scored with 1 point for every 25 passing yards, and 4 points for every touchdown. For running backs, wide receivers, and tight ends, they are scored with 1 point for every 10 total yards, and 6 points for every touchdown. This is a non-PPR projection.
