Fantasy Football Week 6 Wide Receiver Projections: Pierre Garcon Becoming A Consistent Weapon
Week 6 means more bye teams and more decisions on who to start. We look at fantasy player projections to help.

Two receivers have been dominating the NFL in 2011, and they couldn't be more different. Calvin Johnson is a physical freak; he's large, fast and can out jump almost any secondary. He's a deep-threat touchdown machine. Wes Welker is a small receiver, with jitterbug quickness and a nose for finding the hole in a defense. He's a threat every time in the open field. Naturally, they top this week's receiver projections. What about the rest of the group?
Our friends at numberFire.com gave us the following list of their Top 25 wide receiver projections for Week 6 of fantasy football. They base their numbers on historical statistical data fed into magical computer algorithms that produce the projections.
Pierre Garcon has rocketed up the charts in the past few weeks and now sits at eighth on this week's chart. He and quarterback Curtis Painter have some mojo working, and look to extend it another week. Steve Smith is seeing the benefit of having Cam Newton at quarterback and ranks eleventh. After some slow times in past seasons, the diminutive dynamo in Carolina is back.
Victor Cruz is the fresh face on the scene, and has made some spectacular catches in the past few weeks. He clocks in at fifteenth this week in the Giants battle with the Redskins. Those who have had Miles Austin are looking forward to his return this week versus the Patriots. Austin and teammate Dez Bryant should both be healthy and rank 18th and 19th this week.
* Fantasy Points Projections are based on the Yahoo! and ESPN default scoring settings. Quarterbacks are scored with 1 point for every 25 passing yards, and 4 points for every touchdown. For running backs, wide receivers, and tight ends, they are scored with 1 point for every 10 total yards, and 6 points for every touchdown. This is a non-PPR projection.
Injured players appear on the list, this is their projection IF they play.
