Houston Texans wide receiver Andre Johnson continues to battle back from his hamstring injury, but it appears highly probable that Johnson will not be able to play this Sunday against the Tennessee Titans. Johnson was told his recovery could take as long as six weeks, but he expected to return before then.
Andre Johnson Injury Update: ‘A Reach’ To Play Sunday
In two games since Johnson went down, Matt Schaub has used a variety of tight ends, running backs and receivers to boost the passing game. In Johnson's first missed game, Schaub focused on Arian Foster and the Texans' tight ends. This past Sunday, Jacoby Jones and Kevin Walter led the team in receiving.
Jacoby Jones will likely still be a big waiver wire pickup this week, but he is fairly inconsistent so don’t expect monster performances week in and week out. Kevin Walter is the safer play on a weekly basis, albeit with less overall upside than Jones.
