Week 8 Bye Teams: Atlanta, Chicago, Green Bay, Oakland, New York Jets, Tampa Bay
Fantasy Football Week 8 Running Back Projections: Adrian Peterson Top Pick
Still dealing with bye weeks and injuries, fantasy owners are scrambling to fill the gaps. We look at Week 8 player projections to help with the decisions.

Some big-time running backs will be on the bench this week because their teams are on a bye. No Michael Turner this week, no Matt Forte, no Darren McFadden, either. Plus injuries on plenty of teams have shaken up the running back rotations. Time to see who is a good bet for Week 8.
Our partner, numberfire.com, has provided us with projections for 30 top-rated running backs in Week 8. They determine their projections by feeding the stats and matchups into the computer, and the computer responds with its best estimate.
These projections are live and may change before Sunday’s action. Come back over the next few days until game time to see where your players stand.
Of course old standby Adrian Peterson is a good bet. But why the computer ranks LeSean McCoy second is a mystery. The Cowboys run defense is the best around and they don't give up a lot of touchdowns on the ground. If I was you, I would take that projection with a grain of salt.
Sunday's new fantasy darling, DeMarco Murray, should once again get the bulk of the carries since Felix Jones is still hurt. Bernard Scott will fill-in for Cedric Benson while he's on suspension and could be a good flex play. And Jonathan Stewart has been the hot back in Carolina for the past couple of weeks, surpassing DeAngelo Williams.
* Fantasy Points Projections are based on the Yahoo! and ESPN default scoring settings. Quarterbacks are scored with 1 point for every 25 passing yards, and 4 points for every touchdown. For running backs, wide receivers, and tight ends, they are scored with 1 point for every 10 total yards, and 6 points for every touchdown. This is a non-PPR projection.
Injured players appear on the list, this is their projection IF they play.
