Fantasy Football Week 8 Tight End Projections: Fred Davis’ Value Jumps
Still dealing with bye weeks and injuries, fantasy owners are scrambling to fill the gaps. We look at Week 8 player projections to help with the decisions.
No Tony Gonzalez this week, Atlanta is on bye. Jermichael Finley, Kellen Winslow and Dustin Keller are also bystanders in Week 8. So who is a good play at tight end?
Our partner, numberfire.com, has provided us with projections for 15 top-rated tight ends in Week 8. They determine their projections by feeding the stats and matchups into the computer, and the computer responds with its best estimate.
These projections are live and may change before Sunday’s action. Come back over the next few days until game time to see where your players stand.
Jimmy Graham has burst onto the fantasy scene this year in a big way, and is currently the top-ranked tight end for Week 8. If you drafted Graham or picked him up early in the year, you're looking very smart today. In Washington, Fred Davis takes over the tight end duties after sharing them with Chris Cooley (lost to injury). Davis might be a valuable play for the rest of the year.
Antonio Gates is back and healthy, but hasn't climbed back to the top of the projections just yet.
* Fantasy Points Projections are based on the Yahoo! and ESPN default scoring settings. Quarterbacks are scored with 1 point for every 25 passing yards, and 4 points for every touchdown. For running backs, wide receivers, and tight ends, they are scored with 1 point for every 10 total yards, and 6 points for every touchdown. This is a non-PPR projection.
Injured players appear on the list, this is their projection IF they play.
