There is nothing more frustrating than spending a high-rough draft pick on a player that you know you’ll start every week of the NFL fantasy season just to watch them do nothing on the field and do nothing for your fantasy team other than help you lose games (you hear me, Chris Johnson?). Of course there’s a difference between a bust and a dud -- a dud just performs poorly in one particular week -- but a dud can be just as harmful.
Fantasy Football Week 8: Duds Include Chris Johnson (Again)
Fantasy football Week 8 duds include Chris Johnson and Drew Brees.

Here are five players that can be considered fantasy duds in Week 8 of the 2011 NFL season.
Chris Johnson RB Tennessee Titans
AAAAARRRRRG!
No, that’s not my pirate impression. That’s the noise of my frustration about how terrible Chris Johnson is this year. The worst part about Johnson’s crappy performance is the fact that whoever drafted him, probably took him high in the first round and now you probably couldn’t even get a backup kicker and a peanut butter sandwich in a trade for him.
Johnson carried the ball 14 times for a whopping 34 yards and he added 17 yards receiving.
It’s time to go to the bench for good.
Score: four points
Just one game removed from a five-touchdown performance against the Colts, Drew Brees couldn't do anything against the Rams, which shows how tough it is to win, especially on the road, in the NFL. Brees completed 30 passes for 269 yards and only one touchdown. He threw two interceptions and was sacked six times.
Brees isn’t a bust like Johnson is but if you were relying on him to help you win this weekend, he didn’t deliver.
Score: 16 points
Wes Welker has really emerged early in the 2011 NFL season as a top-notch fantasy receiver as well as one of the better receivers in the real world. However, heading into Week 8, the Patriots top-ranked offense faced their biggest test as they played the Pittsburgh Steelers No. 3 defense on the road. Still, hopes were high that Welker would at least score a touchdown to get his fantasy owners some points.
That didn’t happen. Welker was held to only 39 yards on six catches.
Score: Three points
Jimmy Graham TE New Orleans Saints
A bad quarterback performance kind of goes hand-in-hand with the fantasy performances of that quarterback’s receivers and since you can see Drew Brees’ name above, it shouldn’t be too big of a surprise to see Jimmy Graham here. Still, Graham has led all tight ends in the NFL when it comes to fantasy football and it’s been since Week 2 when he scored less than double digit fantasy points.
This week he only managed four catches for 39 yards.
Score: Three points
Miles Austin and Dez Bryant WRs Dallas Cowboys
Again, a wide receiver is only as good as his quarterback and Tony Romo is just not good a lot of the time, and, in case you were wondering, his Sunday night performance counted as a lot of the time. Miles Austin only managed three catches for 27 yards and Dez Bryant only caught three passes for 28 yards. These two extremely talented receivers literally did absolutely nothing in the Cowboys' 34-7 loss to the Eagles.
Score: Austin -- two points, Bryant -- two points
