Fantasy Football Week 9 Quarterback Projections: Aaron Rodgers Returns To Action
Week 9 of fantasy football is coming around the bend, we’ve got player projections to help make your roster decisions.
If you're starting Matthew Stafford or Cam Newton on a regular basis, you'll need to adjust for Week 9 as both players are on a bye. And if you're starting Christian Ponder or Blaine Gabbert on a regular basis, who are also on byes, then you've got bigger problems than we can solve in this article. Let's take a look at the Week 9 projections for quarterbacks.
Our partner, numberfire.com, has provided us with projections for 15 top-rated quarterbacks in Week 9. They determine their projections by feeding the stats and matchups into the computer, and the computer responds with its best estimate.
These projections are live and may change before Sunday’s action. Come back over the next few days until game time to see where your players stand.
Many fantasy owners are very happy to see the Green Bay Packers back in action, and Aaron Rodgers is highly-ranked this week, as you would expect. Climbing into the top of the rankings in the early part of the week is Giants quarterback Eli Manning, who plays the Patriots defense. In return Tom Brady is the early leader in the rankings, meaning points should be abundant in that game.
How about some possible replacement quarterbacks this week? Take a look at Alex Smith, Matt Hasselbeck, Josh Freeman or Tarvaris Jackson.
* Fantasy Points Projections are based on the Yahoo! and ESPN default scoring settings. Quarterbacks are scored with 1 point for every 25 passing yards, and 4 points for every touchdown. For running backs, wide receivers, and tight ends, they are scored with 1 point for every 10 total yards, and 6 points for every touchdown. This is a non-PPR projection.
Injured players appear on the list, this is their projection IF they play.
