Frank Gore Questionable With Knee Injury

Held out of Wednesday's practice with a knee injury, San Francisco 49ers running back Frank Gore returned to practice on Thursday and is "Questionable" for Sunday's game against the Arizona Cardinals

Already playing on a sore left ankle, Gore suffered the right knee injury in the second quarter of the 49ers' 27-20 win over the New York Giants last Sunday. Despite gaining zero yards on six attempts last week, Gore ranks seventh in the NFL with 782 yards and is tied for 10th with five rushing touchdowns on the season. One of the league's more complete running backs, Gore has just 14 receptions for 86 yards in 2011.

If Gore is unable to go or finish the Cardinals game, 2011 fourth-round pick Kendall Hunter would get the carries. Hunter has run for 257 yards and two touchdowns this season, including six carries for 40 yards and a touchdown against the Giants.
