Out the last two weeks with a calf injury, Cleveland Browns running back Montario Hardesty returned to practice on a limited basis on Friday and is "Questionable" for Sunday's game against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Montario Hardesty A Game-Time Decision With Calf Injury
A 2010 second-round pick out of Tennessee, Hardesty still leads the Browns with 244 rushing yards this season. While Hardesty practiced, he did not participate in team drills and is expected to be a game-time decision, though it’s unlikely that he’ll play against the Jaguars.
The Browns' ground game is averaging just 80 yards per game, which ranks 30th entering Week 11 action. Without Hardesty and 2010 leading rusher, the Browns are expected to start Chris Ogbonnaya, who has only been with the team for a month. Ogbonnaya ran for 90 yards last week against the St. Louis Rams, the team that had selected him in the seventh round of the 2009 NFL Draft.
Wide receiver Josh Cribbs had 21 rushing yards on three carries last week and may also factor in the offensive game plan in a ball-carrying role against Jacksonville.
