There are quite a few individual performances that single handedly get you a win on your fantasy team almost every week and this week is no exception. Here are five of the fantasy studs that helped people win their games this weekend.
Fantasy Football Week 12: Studs Include Tom Brady, Beanie Wells
Another wild week for fantasy football. Week 12 brought us big performances from Tom Brady, Beanie Wells and Wes Welker
The way that the Eagles have been playing this year it was hard to picture them defeating the New England Patriots, especially with Vince Young behind center in stead of Michael Vick. The Patriots' Achilles heal has been their defense all season but they did what they usually do to win, outscore the opponent, and that's exactly what they did. Tom Brady shredded the Philadelphia secondary for 361 yards and three touchdowns and he didn't turn the ball over once.
Score (ESPN standard scoring): 28 points
Beanie Wells was a beast on Sunday in St. Louis. While Steven Jackson had a hard time getting things going, Wells was in ultimate beast mode. He carried the ball 27 times for 228 yards and a touchdown. This is a new franchise record for the Cardinals and he ran for that many yards despite the fact that he injured his knee and briefly had to come out of the game.
Score: 26 points
| Wes Welker WR New England Patriots |
If Brady is going to throw for over 300 yards and three touchdowns, somebody has to be on the receiving end of those passes and that somebody was Wes Welker, as usual. Welker caught a third of Brady’s passes for 115 yards and two touchdowns against the Eagles. Obviously teams have yet to figure out that stopping Welker is one of the keys to stopping the Patriots.

Who needs Jay Cutler? Johnny Knox doesn't. Knox caught four passes for 145 yards and a touchdown in the Bears loss to the Oakland Raiders. With Cutler out, Knox's fantasy owners may actually benefit. The last two games have been his best of the season by far.
Score: 20 points
With seven touchdowns in the last five games, Laurent Robinson has been a gift from the fantasy gods to anybody who owned Miles Austin. On Thanksgiving, Robinson caught seven passes for 79 yards and two touchdowns, helping the Cowboys squeak past a very hot Miami Dolphins team.
