Fantasy Football Week 9 Start ‘Em Or Sit ‘Em: LeGarrette Blount, Michael Bush Are Starts
Injuries, bye weeks; they all add up to start and sit choices for fantasy football that need some clarification. We offer 10 guys to start, and 10 to sit in Week 9.
For guys to Start, they look at players who might not be at the top of the charts at their respective positions, but who look like they’re headed for an exceptionally good week based on their projections over average.
Start
LeGarrette Blount is expected to return as the Bucs main running back, and with no Earnest Graham to share carries with, Blount should handle almost all of the running back duties. Against Denver, Oakland's Michael Bush looks to take advantage of the Broncos defense and Darren McFadden's likely absence. Also, another Raider, Darrius Heyward-Bey, is ranked as a start in Week 9.
Looking for a couple of tight ends who could shine this week? Pittsburgh’s Heath Miller and Philly’s Brent Celek are good choices.
Sit
Now, we look at guys who are likely to perform below their normal averages for Week 9. Ben Roethlisberger and Tony Romo are two quarterbacks the computer isn't high on this week. The Colts offensive players are almost always sits this year, although both Dallas Clark and Reggie Wayne have been seeing improving numbers lately.
