Daniel Thomas Status Update: Miami Dolphins RB Active For Week 9

The Miami Dolphins have officially listed rookie running back Daniel Thomas as active for their Week 9 clash against the Kansas City Chiefs, a boon to a team that's struggled to find run consistency with Reggie Bush as their starter.

Thomas, as Brian McIntyre noted earlier this week, has yet to play in back-to-back weeks for the Dolphins, so how long he’ll be able to stay on the field will be an issue. It also remains to be seen how much head coach Tony Sparano will use Thomas, seeing as the hamstring injury just isn’t going away.

The Dolphins don't have an easy matchup against the Chiefs in Week 9. The Chiefs' run defense, led by Derrick Johnson, started out atrociously, but in their four-game winning streak have kept backs like Darren McFadden and Adrian Peterson in check.
