Denver Broncos running back Willis McGahee returned to practice on Friday and is "Questionable" for Sunday's game against the Chicago Bears.
Willis McGahee Questionable With Knee Injury
McGahee was injured during the team's game-tying drive against the Minnesota Vikings last Sunday and was held out of practice on Wednesday and Thursday. McGahee has played through a broken hand and a hamstring this season, making it likely that he'll tough it out against the Bears on Sunday.
Signed to a four-year deal after being released by the Baltimore Ravens when the lockout ended, the 30-year-old McGahee has six 100-yard games this season, including a streak of two straight, and ranks 10th in the NFL with 886 rushing yards this season. As he own play belies his age, McGahee has noticed that the Bears linebackers are not playing at a level commensurate with their ages.
“They’re fast to the ball and they’re not showing a step like they’re old,” McGahee said according to the Chicago Sun-Times. “I played some good linebackers this season, but not like (the Bears group).”
