Fantasy Football Week 14 Injury News: Adrian Peterson Inactive, Michael Vick Returns
Adrian Peterson Injury Update: Vikings Coach Believes AP Will Return For Week 15
Gerhart has been solid in relief of Peterson but it remains to be seen how much of a role he will have once AP is back on the field. The team could conceivably go with a bit of a running back by committee depending on how Peterson feels once he gets back in the action. Prior to Peterson’s injury, Gerhart had one game with five carries and eight games with two or fewer carries. He never touched the ball more than five times in those games.
Whichever back is on the field, the Vikings will look to dominate time of possession this weekend against a tough Saints offense. The Saints can put up some filthy numbers inside domes, so even though this is a road game, they have some advantages in the Metrodome. A strong rushing attack is key if the Vikings want to pull the upset.

For Murray, it ends what had been turning into a fantastic rookie season. Murray dealt with injuries in college, so this is not shocking, but it doesn’t make it any easier to swallow. The big question moving forward for fantasy owners is how the Cowboys plan on handling their running back situation in 2012. Will it be an open competition in camp for the number one job, or will it be a running back by committee that turns the situation into an untenable option in fantasy football?

Whatever the case, Jennings would seem likely to miss at least some time with the knee injury. For fantasy football purposes, it is likely that you will be without Jennings in your quest for fantasy glory. He could bounce back quickly, but you may need to be prepared to continue your playoff run without Jennings.

Clark has played in nine games this season. Entering Week 14, he has 287 receiving yards on 28 catches with five touchdowns. He’s averaging 10.3 yards per catch. Although he’s cleared to play, he may not see much action against the strong Baltimore team and their punishing defense.
The Colts are huge underdogs against the Ravens. They’re still looking for their first win of the season and most experts believe they won’t be able to pick it up on Sunday. It remains to be seen how much Clark will be able to contribute.

Head coach Raheem Morris told The Tampa Tribune on Friday that Freeman “looked good” in practice on Friday and “threw the ball a lot more” than what occurred in practice last week, all of which is good news for Buccaneers fans and fantasy owners.
Freeman broke a 36-game consecutive starts streak by missing the action in Week 13, but he is ready to start a new streak today. In 11 starts in 2011, Freeman has completed 61.8 percent of 411 pass attempts for 2,715 yards with 12 touchdowns and 16 interceptions.

If Greene is in your fantasy line up, it should be as an RB2 in touchdown heavy leagues, similar to Brandon Jacobs. With Tomlinson getting dinged up late in games now, Greene will get even more carries in garbage time while still maintaining his role as the short yardage and goal line back. For the season, Green has just 739 rushing yards with five touchdowns, three of which came in last weeks game.

If Welker is on your roster, he should be in the starting line up. He is just 7 receptions away from becoming only the third receiver in NFL history to post four 100-reception seasons. As it stands, Wes Welker is on pace to catch 124 receptions with 1,670 yards and 11 touchdowns for the season. Welker has had seven games this season of at least 100 receiving yards.

Washington characterized the injury as a high ankle sprain and said he would play if the decision were solely up to him, Jim Wyatt of The Tennessean reports.
“If this was an individual decision, of course I would say I’m playing,” Washington said. “But it is not just my decision. If I have to be a cheerleader, I am going to be the best cheerleader. But if I am cleared to play I am going to give it everything I’ve got.”

Vick is officially listed as “Probable” on the team’s final injury report of the week.
“I’ve made my mind up. There’s going to be times when I can’t get the extra yards. I gotta get down,” Vick said last week according to Philly.com. “I get too caught up in the game sometimes, but that leads to me being sidelined, not being accountable for the team on Sunday .. I don’t want to continue to put the team through that.”

“I feel like I’m still kind of moving fast, but then again, it’s a little gallop. I don’t mind. If I’m feeling good, I don’t mind running down the field Sunday, galloping, as long as I get to the end zone.”

Freeman took his normal reps on Friday and appears good to go.
”No. 5 went out there today and proceeded with caution,” coach Raheem Morris said Friday according to The Tampa Tribune. “He practiced and looked good. We’ve seen him throw the ball a lot more this week and he took his usual amount of snaps today.”

Laurent Robinson is another big question mark for folks. He sat out Wednesday and Thursday, but was a limited participant in Friday’s practice. Miles Austin was limited all week, but is expected to return on Sunday. This diminishes Robinson’s value even if he plays. If Robinson is active, he is a dangerous play this weekend.
