The Dallas Cowboys released their Thursday injury report and wide receiver Laurent Robinson remained on the sideline with a shoulder issue. He missed Wednesday's practice as well and is in danger of missing Sunday Night Football against the New York Giants.
Laurent Robinson Injury Update: Cowboys WR Misses Second Straight Practice
The injury only adds to a troubling fantasy situation for Robinson. The Cowboys have seen wide receiver Miles Austin get in some limited participation this week, and he is expected to be available this Sunday. Even if Robinson plays, that limits his fantasy upside. Robinson has come out of nowhere to put up some of the best fantasy numbers in the league, thanks primarily to huge touchdown numbers. He was a huge waiver wire pickup with the belief that once Austin returned, Robinson's value would go by the wayside.
For now, if you have Robinson you do not want to unload him. However, he is now a risky play as fantasy playoffs are getting underway. Barring any changes in Robinson and Austin's status, Robinson should be benched for this weekend. If Robinson and Austin both play alongside Dez Bryant, I personally would sit Robinson. The situation is too fluid right now to be sure of anything.
