Darren Sproles Fantasy: Sproles Tops 90 Yards

Bill Hanstock
Bill Hanstock is a writer, author and Emmy Award-winning producer. He began writing for SB Nation in 2011.

Darren Sproles turned into one of the best free agent additions of the offseason. His speed is paying big dividends in the Saints’ high flying offense. He ran the ball five times for 33 yards. He also caught seven passes for another 58 yards. Sproles shared carries with Pierre Thomas and Chris Ivory.

New Orleans Saints running back Darren Sproles has had a great year overall and still looks sharp and powerful on his carries. His total yards from scrimmage so far in 2011 are already a career high. He has benefited greatly from the move away from San Diego and is sure to be grateful for the Saints and their tougher offensive line.

Through Week 13, Sproles has 430 rushing yards on 63 carries and 522 receiving yards on 67 catches.
