We’re in do or die territory when it comes to fantasy football now. Most leagues are in the first week of the playoffs and if you don’t win, your season is over. Just like every week, there were quite a few fantastic individual performances so here are five fantasy studs that helped you, or your competition, win in the first week of the playoffs.
Fantasy Football Week 14: Studs Include Maurice Jones-Drew, Matt Ryan
Another wild week for fantasy football. Week 14 brought us big performances from Maurice Jones-Drew, Matt Ryan and Tony Romo.

Maurice Jones-Drew can do it all and he did do it all at home against the Buccaneers. Jones-Drew ran the ball 27 times for 85 yards and two touchdowns and he also caught six passes for 51 yards and two more touchdowns. He led the Jaguars to a 41-14 victory over the Bucs and scored more points than any other fantasy player so far this week.

| Matt Ryan QB Atlanta Falcons |
On his way to a win over the Carolina Panthers, Matt Ryan completed 22 of 38 passes for 320 yards, four touchdowns and no interceptions. This was by far the best game Ryan has played so far this season, both in fantasy and real football terms. Ryan is only started in about 50 percent of leagues, but if you started him this week, you weren't sorry.

It's hard to tell who Tom Brady's favorite target is sometimes. Is it Wes Welker or is it tight end Rob Gronkowski? Well, yesterday, it was obviously Gronk. Gronkowski caught six passes for 160 yards and two touchdowns. He only needed one touchdown to break the single season touchdown reception record for tight ends in the league. This is the sixth game in a row that he's scored more than 10 points and the fourth out of five games that he's scored more than two touchdowns.

Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo had an almost identical game as Atlanta’s Ryan. In fact, the only difference is Romo came away with a loss and Ryan had a win. Romo completed 21 of 31 passes for 321 yards and four touchdowns. The only way that Ryan scored more than Romo is if your league gives points to players who win their games.

| Jacksonville Jaguars Defense |
Defenses usually don’t make this list but the Jaguars’ top-five defense deserves it this week. They intercepted three passes, forced six fumbles, recovering four of them, two of which went for defensive touchdowns and they sacked the opposing quarterback three times. It was a huge game for the Jaguars defense.
