James Starks Injury Update: Packers RB Misses Wednesday Practice

The Green Bay Packers look to continue their undefeated run as they host the Oakland Raiders this Sunday. Although the Packers are heavy favorites, they may need to win this one without their starting running back. James Starks sat out practice on Wednesday as he continues his recovery from an ankle injury he suffered during Sunday's win over the New York Giants. Starks was not expected to practice on Wednesday, so this more confirms what we already knew.

Barring a quick recovery, Ryan Grant will likely get the start on Sunday with Brandon Saine as his technical backup. Although Saine might see some carries, John Kuhn will be the guy who gets a lot of goal line and short yardage work. Grant entered the season as the Packers starting running back, but Starks has shown more explosiveness and in turn has taken on a larger workload. Starks will likely be back for Week 15.
