Update: Peyton Hills has been ruled out, Montario Hardesty to start.
Peyton Hillis Injury Update: Browns RB Questionable With Strep Throat, Fever
Cleveland Browns running back Peyton Hillis was a late addition to the injury report on Friday as he came down with strep throat and a fever. He missed practice and is now listed as questionable heading into Sunday's game against the 0-2 Dolphins. The Browns are hopefully Hillis will play, but given that he is contagious at the moment and likely weakened from the fever, it is looking like a game time call.
This is a situation you'll need to pay close attention to all the way up until the 1:00pm ET kickoff. If Hillis is unable to go Montario Hardesty becomes the go-to guy in Cleveland on Sunday. The more significant problem for fantasy football owners is if Hillis is active but loses a significant chunk of his carries to Hardesty. It turns into a roll of the dice type of situation.
We’ll hear more about Hillis’ status and at that point you may just have to trust your gut. If Hillis is active I think you have to start him unless there is a clear word that Hardesty will get a large chunk of the carries. If Hill is active, he’s your guy.
