Justin Blackmon could see role increase after bye, improving fantasy outlook
Justin Blackmon could see his role increase following the Jacksonville Jaguars’ Week 6 bye. We break down the fantasy implications.

Blackmon has just 13 catches for 119 yards and no touchdowns through five games played this season. Nine of those catches came in the last two games, however. The Jags take on an Oakland Raiders secondary giving up 7.5 yards per attempt on the season this week.
Fantasy Impact: Blackmon has yet to get on track in his rookie season, but then again nor has anyone else involved in the Jags' passing game. Blackmon is just behind Maurice Jones-Drew and Marcedes Lewis (14 catches) as the team's receptions leader.
Jacksonville are hoping that moving Gabbert out of the pocket more often will make him a more effective quarterback. At this point, however, there is little reason to expect dramatic improvement. Blackmon may be a better option going forward in deeper fantasy leagues, but for standard purposes he is probably better left on waivers for now.
