Washington Redskins tight end Fred Davis (knee) was limited in practice on Wednesday, per Chris Russell. Redskins head coach Mike Shannahan suggested that it was precautionary, as Washington can expect Davis to be active this Sunday. In Week 7, the Redskins will face the division rival New York Giants who are coming off a big win.
Fred Davis’ limited participation does not hurt fantasy value
Washington Redskins tight end Fred Davis was limited in Wednesday’s practice. We breakdown the fantasy implications.

Davis has played his role in the offense, but hasn't quite provided an explosive spark in the Redskins offense. In fact, rookie QB Robert Griffin III seems to favor the wide receivers when moving the ball downfield.
Fantasy Analysis: Davis has not lived up to the fantasy expectations, though they probably weren’t that high to begin with. And regardless of being a featured tight end on a team with a QB that has a rocket arm, Davis’ fantasy value is limited to a bye-week filler.
Even in 12-14 team leagues, owners should not be counting on Davis for points week to week.
