San Francisco 49ers quarterback Alex Smith was listed as probable on the team's injury report on Wednesday, per Matt Barrows. Smith injured the middle finger on his throwing hand versus the Buffalo Bills in Week 5, but played against the New York Giants in Week 6.
Alex Smith probable versus Seahawks: Fantasy Implications
San Francisco 49ers quarterback Alex Smith (finger) was listed as probable for Thursday Night Football. We breakdown the fantasy implications.

In that span, there was a drastic drop in Smith's performance. However, game plan had to do with Smith's performance, rather than the injured finger. He is expected to play in Thursday night's NFC West showdown with the Seattle Seahawks.
Fantasy Analysis: The 49ers starting quarterback emerged as a fantasy option in Week 5, but his value was brought down to earth the following week. Smith’s 3 interception game versus the Giants killed whatever value he accumulated in four of his first five outings.
Smith’s disastrous performance was a fluke. The Niners QB does not typically throw a lot of interceptions, which is why he’s a good fantasy backup. He will not typically negate points with costly turnovers. He should bounce back going forward, but is nothing more than a bye-week filler or match-up play.
