Russell Wilson did not fare well in his seventh start in the NFL on Thursday night. After a huge performance last week against the Patriots, Wilson completed just 9 of 23 passes for 122 yards and one interception in Week 7 against the 49ers.
Russell Wilson struggles against 49ers, fantasy value suffers
Russell Wilson looked like he was having a tough time against San Francisco. We break down the fantasy implications.

He rarely looked comfortable, and couldn’t manage to connect on multiple deep passes downfield. Wilson’s receivers didn’t do him any favors by dropping the ball a few times either.
Fantasy Impact: While everyone is quick to praise Wilson on the strides he’s making in the NFL, fantasy owners need to remember he’s a rookie in a run-first offense with few weapons to throw to. He can’t be considered a starter at this point.
Next week Wilson will take on a Lions secondary that ranks right around the middle of the league in passing defense. We still suggest you look elsewhere for your lineup’s sake.
