Mark Sanchez went 28-for-41 passing for 328 yards, one touchdown and one interception during the Jets’ failed comeback bid against the Patriots on Sunday. We break down the fantasy implications.

Sanchez also averaged 8.0 yards per attempt on the day, his highest average since posting a 9.9 YPA in the season opener against the Buffalo Bills. He found Dustin Keller on a seven-yard pass for a touchdown late in the fourth quarter.
Fantasy Impact: It was Sanchez’s first relevant fantasy outing since the beginning of the season, so fantasy owners should not go rushing to waiver wires to pick up the quarterback. Still, it was nice to see him get some protection from his offensive line and pick apart a struggling defense.
The Jets play the Miami Dolphins next week, which is a very good matchup on paper. You would have to be bold or desperate to rely on Sanchez, however. If you can afford to, wait to see if he can put two good performances together before considering Sanchez as a starting fantasy option.
