Detroit Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford continued his first-half struggles against the Chicago Bears on Monday Night Football, starting off the game completing 8-of-15 passes for 43 yards, most of which came on the team's final possession of the half.

Matthew Stafford and the Detroit Lions’ offense have struggled out of the gate all season long. That trend continued on Monday night against the Chicago Bears, as they managed less than 100 yards of total offense.

Stafford was victimized by drops and poor protection at times in the first half, but in general, the Lions offense failed to get into any sort of rhythm. They went three-and-out on five of their first six possessions, and turned the ball over on the seventh drive.
Fantasy Impact: Stafford threw for over 5,000 yards in 2011 and has failed to live up to expectations for fantasy owners in 2012. He came into Monday’s game averaging nearly 300 yards per game but has only thrown four touchdowns this season.
Detroit's offense can't find a rhythm, and their schedule doesn't get much easier with the Seattle Seahawks on tap in Week 8. Perhaps the Lions will finally turn things around on offense when they head home to play the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 9. Until then, Stafford could continue to disappoint fantasy owners.
