Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Doug Baldwin has a high ankle sprain, per Pete Carroll, and will miss at least Week 8 and likely more. The Hawks leading receiver in 2011 has already missed one game this year, Week 3 against the Packers, and has not been as productive. Baldwin has caught just 11 passes for 149 yards and a touchdown, considerably lower than his 788 yards last season.

Fantasy Take: Baldwin has already fallen off of the fantasy radar, with his only productive game coming against the soft pass defense of the New England Patriots. This sprain leaves no doubt that Baldwin will stay on the waiver wire until further notice. Carroll has been very conservative in his passing game with rookie Russell Wilson, but has said that they want to open it up more, so Baldwin might be a sleeper for later in the year but high ankle sprains can linger.
