Trent Richardson looked better in practice Wednesday than he had a week prior, Cleveland Browns head coach Pat Shurmur told reporters Thursday. Richardson is dealing with a nagging ribs cartilage injury that made him ineffective last week against the Indianapolis Colts and put him on the sideline for the second half.
Trent Richardson injury: Fantasy prospects look better than week before
Trent Richardson looked better in practice Wednesday than he did a week prior, according to Browns head coach Pat Shurmur. We break down the fantasy implications.

Richardson was limited in practice Thursday, but he still hopes to play Sunday against the San Diego Chargers. If he can't, Montario Hardesty and Chris Ogbonnaya are expected to handle the workload out of the backfield.
Fantasy Impact: Richardson may be healthier than he was entering the game against the Colts, but after seeing how he performed it is possible that he sees even fewer snaps against the Chargers. Of course, he could see a full workload too. It’s difficult to say what the Browns plan to do at this point, so keep a watchful eye on injury reports.
Those who own Richardson in their fantasy leagues should be sure to pick up a handcuff off waivers. Preferably Hardesty, although Ogbonnaya is more heavily involved in the Browns’ offense as a pass catcher.
