Dallas Cowboys running back Phillip Tanner could be in line for the majority of carries this week against the Giants after taking 'plenty' of first-team reps in practice this week. It seemed that Felix Jones was in line to take over the majority share after the injury to DeMarco Murray, but last week against the Panthers the split was 15 carries for Jones and 13 for Tanner.
Phillip Tanner’s fantasy stock rising after taking ‘plenty’ of first-team reps
Is Tanner or Felix Jones the safer play to score more points against the Giants? We break down the fantasy implications.

In that game Tanner gained 30 yards, while Jones had 44 rushing and 30 receiving.
Fantasy Take: The Giants are 30th in the NFL in yards per carry against, so if either Tanner or Jones get the majority of carries then they might be in line for a high-scoring day. Jones might be talented, but he's never succeeded when given a starter's job. It seems like Tanner might be the safer play over the inconsistent Jones.
