Minnesota Vikings tight end Kyle Rudolph was held to two catches for 17 yards in Thursday's loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. It's the second straight week that Rudolph has had almost no impact for Minnesota's offense, as he didn't have a catch in Week 7.
Kyle Rudolph turns in 2nd straight fantasy dud
Minnesota Vikings tight end Kyle Rudolph was held down again in Week 8. We break down the fantasy implications.

Rudolph moved up in the fantasy rankings after catching three touchdowns in the first three weeks of the season. He has had just one game with more than 25 yards receiving since Week 3.
Fantasy Impact: The recent poor play of Christian Ponder is going to directly affect the value of Rudolph. The Vikings usually look for Rudolph in the end zone but they aren't getting down there enough to even give Rudolph a chance. Minnesota's offense -- correctly -- runs through Adrian Peterson and Percy Harvin, leaving Rudolph at best as a third or fourth option.
Rudolph has not been a consistent yardage producer to make him a must-start tight end each week. He’s more of a touchdown-or-bust play and with Ponder that likely won’t change anytime soon.
