We're back for Week 8 of the 2012 NFL season. The Bucs and Vikings got the week going on Thursday Night Football with an unexpected Bucs road upset. Josh Freeman had another strong performance, with his third straight game throwing three touchdowns. Now that we are into the rest of Week 8, make sure and check your bye weeks. Week 8 byes include the Bills, Bengals, Ravens and Texans. Make sure to have replacements for Andy Dalton, Matt Schaub, Joe Flacco and Ryan Fitzpatrick if you have been relying on them.
Fantasy football rankings 2012: QB projections for Week 8
We provide Week 8 NFL fantasy football projections for quarterbacks courtesy of numberFire.com

We have been providing you with rankings all week long, but as Sunday dawns, it would be helpful to have some projections as well. Our Week 8 quarterback rankings are based on our pool of knowledge and often a bit of gut instinct. To improve your chances this year, we are going to provide Sunday projections courtesy of the folks at numberFire. NumberFire uses a series of mathematical models, to break down the action and figure out who exactly is performing well. They use the power of predictive and regressive modeling to more accurately project future performance.
It is not surprising that Aaron Rodgers and Peyton Manning top the projections this week. They are facing money matchups against the Jaguars and Saints, respectively. These home matchups provide great opportunities for the quarterbacks, and really anybody on those particular teams.
NumberFire claims a higher predictive rate than the major companies (ESPN, CBS, Yahoo!). However, as with anything in fantasy football, we at SB Nation Fantasy view numberFire as one more weapon in your arsenal to claim victory. The numbers can help over the long term, but there are enough variables week-to-week that multiple sources can provide great value.
