Rob Gronkowski had eight receptions for 146 yards and two touchdowns off a team-leading 13 targets during the New England Patriots' blowout win over the St. Louis Rams on Sunday. Gronkowski was listed as questionable due to a hip injury heading into the game, but did not seem limited in any way on the field.
Rob Gronkowski shows no sign of hip injury in monster Week 8 fantasy performance
Rob Gronkowski had eight receptions for 146 yards and two touchdowns during the Patriots’ blowout win over the Rams on Sunday. We break down the fantasy implications.
Gronkowski caught a pair of touchdowns for a second consecutive game. His receptions and yardage were both season highs. Gronkowski may have benefited from Aaron Hernandez being ruled inactive due to a setback on his bothersome ankle.
Fantasy Impact: Gronkowski’s big day simply confirmed what fantasy owners have known for a while now: The Pats tight end is one of the best starting options at any position. There is no argument anyone can make to support taking him out of your fantasy lineup.
Unfortunately, Gronkowski will be forced to sit next week as the Patriots take their bye week. He will return in Week 10 to face a Buffalo Bills squad he has torched in the past.
