San Francisco 49ers quarterback Alex Smith was nearly flawless in the first half against the Arizona Cardinals on Monday night, completing 14-15 passes for 146 and two touchdowns.
Alex Smith already has 3 touchdowns for fantasy owners
If by some chance you had Alex Smith in your fantasy lineup this week, you’re probably feeling happy. Smith started off Monday’s game with three touchdowns.

Both of Smith's first-half touchdowns went to Michael Crabtree. He opened up the second half with a few more big passing plays, including a 47-yard touchdown to Randy Moss. The second-half plays improved his numbers to 17-18 for 223 yards and three touchdowns.
Fantasy Impact: Alex Smith isn’t the most reliable fantasy quarterback, as he plays in a run-oriented offense. That being said, he has shown tons of improvement in the last few seasons and can be a reliable spot start in the right situation.
The 49ers play the Rams next, so Smith could be able to string together a few strong performances.
