San Francisco 49ers running back Brandon Jacobs has not requested a trade and should still be with the team after Thursday's deadline, according to Matt Maiocco of CSNBayArea. Jacobs was inactive for Monday's game with the Arizona Cardinals and has yet to get a carry in a game this season.
Brandon Jacobs expected to stay with 49ers, fantasy value remains very low
San Francisco 49ers running back Brandon Jacobs has not requested a trade and should remain with the team after this week’s deal deadline. We break down the fantasy implications.

Frank Gore and Kendall Hunter are the dominant backs in San Francisco's offense, as the two have combined for 957 on 179 carries this season. The 49ers have a bye in Week 9.
Fantasy Impact: Jacobs continues to serve as insurance for Gore and Hunter and will continue to have no fantasy value unless one of those players gets hurt. There was talk before the season that Jacobs could have a role in the run-heavy 49ers offense but that has clearly not materialized.
Jacobs is not a handcuff and is not worth owning at this point.
